Last month we spent the most beautiful weekend in Glen Callater bagging Tolmount and Tom Buidhe.  What an amazing place!

After a wash out weekend attempting to bag the Ben Alder munros a couple of weeks before, we awoke to wall to wall sunshine (which has sadly been very rare this summer) and made our way up to the Glen Callater estate carpark.  The drive up to Glenshee is always ve...

"I'd like to make it known that none of my money is to go to either Rachael or Leanne."  Jamie is in the back of the van as we make our way to the wakepark and, like the big drama queen he is, is recording his "last ever video before drowning whilst attached to a board," "If I don't make it through this, everyone should know it's all Leanne's fault"  he continues whilst the rest of us cheerily make our way from the beautiful Bellhaven beach, where we walked Adventure Dog, to the fan...

Riding my bike makes me happy! Whether it’s a wee half hour blast round a local trail or a full day epic into the wilderness. I'm especially happy when I share my passion with other people and nothing beats heading out for an adventure with a bunch of friends. A couple of years ago Dawn and I attended a mountain biking course at Glentress which was run ...

Trying to Tri again...

Way back in 2015, I ventured into the world of triathlon by attempting the Craggy Island Triathlon. All did not go to plan though as I struggled with the sea swim, fell off my bike and went over my ankle. I finished. Last. Like so incredibly last they were trying to take the finis...

Picture the scene: you've had a lovely day walking with friends, you pitch your tent and open a beer.  What comes next?  Well for me it has to be a campfire.  You see, the traditional campfire serves a multitude of purposes.  Its keeps you warm, keeps the midges away and how else are you going to toast your marshmallows?

Over the last few years we ...

With great rest comes great creativity...

I've had a pretty stressful time at work recently and after a long, hard nightshift last week I began to feel a bit run down.  I continued to train as normal thinking I was just a bit tired.  I always really struggle with illness as I feel guilty for not getting out there and at least trying, especially given the Bowhill duathlon today.  So on Friday I headed out for a wee run after work to judge whether or not I would do the duathlon and after a couple of kilometre...

Happy birthday to my lovely mother. I won't write how old she is. What I will write however, is how much of an inspiration she has been to me growing up. She has a passion for travel and adventure that I really admire. Her adventures have also turned into misadventures on more than a few occasions.  I'm not sure theres a continent she hasn't been injured in...

Mum on ...
